I was asked by an Urban Planning Consultancy to photograph a suburban private housing estate in Northamptonshire. The estate was well established having been completed approximately two years ago and many of the landscaping features had bedded in. The client was keen that I capture the design of roadways, green space, parking facilities, established trees, open space, greenery, walkways and overall design layout of the estate to show how well the planning had been considered for those living there. I was keen for these images to look as ‘real’ as possible with natural skies and dappled light upon the houses and roadways. I was able to pick a dry day in June with the rain holding off for most of the day, ensuring blue skies with a good level of cloud texture.
