During 2025, I was commissioned to produce a cohesive body of portrait photography for the board members and senior leadership team of one of the largest pub and hospitality companies in the UK. With their Head Office based in the Midlands, I was invited in on several occasions throughout the year to photograph board members in between scheduled leadership meetings. As a Midlands and Birmingham-based corporate portrait photographer, I regularly work with leadership teams across the region and this project required both flexibility and absolute consistency.

Rather than staging a traditional studio setup, the decision was made to shoot on location within their co-working space, using the working bar and taps as a subtle but recognisable backdrop. The setting reflected the company’s identity perfectly. The brief was clear. The portraits needed to feel approachable, confident and relaxed – aligned with the company’s brand. As a leading pub and hospitality group, their tone is light, casual and welcoming. They were keen to avoid imagery that felt overly corporate or stiff. The result needed to communicate leadership while remaining human and accessible.

Because the portraits were captured across multiple dates, depending on when individual board members were in the office, maintaining visual consistency was critical. I used a professional, portable off-camera flash setup to ensure lighting remained controlled and repeatable across every session. Detailed notes were kept on camera position, focal length, lighting ratios and background alignment so that each new portrait seamlessly matched those taken weeks earlier.

Working within a live Midlands Head Office environment also required efficiency. Each board member had a limited window between meetings, so the setup needed to be quick, discreet and dependable. The lighting was designed to be clean and flattering, while allowing the bar environment to retain its authenticity and warmth. What you see here is a small selection from around twelve board members and senior leaders photographed over the course of the year: a consistent, confident collection of executive portraits that feel natural, approachable and true to the hospitality brand.

If you’re looking for a Birmingham or Midlands-based corporate photographer to create consistent leadership portraits across multiple dates and locations, I’d be pleased to discuss your project.
